How to play Bias Lingo Bingo
Learn how to mark squares, call bingo, choose honor or agreement marking, and how ranked pots, timers and solo games work in Bias Lingo Bingo.
Your card
Each card is a five by five grid of phrases from the packs your host picked. The center square is FREE and already counts for you. Tap a square to mark it when you hear the phrase. Tap a marked square again to unmark it if you jumped the gun. Long press any square to see the full phrase when the text is long.
Calling bingo
Five marked squares in a row, column or diagonal is a bingo, and the FREE center counts toward any line through it. When you have a line the bingo button lights up. Once you call bingo your card locks, so make sure your marks are honest first.
Honor system or agreement
On the honor system you mark whatever you heard and everyone trusts each other, which suits friends on the same couch. With agreement marking, a square only counts if most players who have that phrase on their card have marked it too.
Pots, places and the timer
Rooms can use a ranked pot or winner take all. A ranked pot needs at least four players and pays several places in the order bingos are called, first caller first. With fewer players a room switches to winner take all, and everyone must accept the new rules before anything is charged. Each game has a timer; if it runs out before every winning place is filled, the remaining places go to the boards closest to a bingo. Tokens are play money with no cash value.
Solo games
Solo mode lets you play a card alone. It costs 10 tokens and does not pay out. It is for practice, or for when the speech is on and nobody else is watching.
