Bandwagon Effect Lingo Bingo Card
A bingo theme about popularity standing in for proof.
What bandwagon effect bingo is about
The bandwagon effect is the pull to believe or do something because many others already do. Popularity becomes the argument, and doubts feel awkward to raise once a crowd seems to agree.
What to listen for
Listen for "everyone is saying," trending as evidence, polls used to settle questions of fact, and pressure to join before it is too late. Fan culture, marketing and campaign rallies use it constantly.
Tips for watching and playing
Try it during product hype, sports playoff runs or rallies of any kind.
Keep the game friendly: the point is noticing the pull, not mocking people who feel it.
